Responsibilities: Centrifugal compressor design from one-dimensional mean line analysis through to 3D CFD analysis. This includes the complete centrifugal compressor aero flow path, both rotating and stationary, of both single and two stage compressors. Evaluates mechanical aspects to ensure the product will meet life cycle requirements. This will include detail stress, vibration, modal, fatigue analysis of all designed components. Detailed involvement in all steps in the product development process/life cycle, from customer requirement, to design, to prototype manufacturing, to product qualification, to final product implementation and product launch. In depth involvement in all aspects of the test phase to validate design. Provides detailed aerodynamic analysis based on the CFD and experimental data. Quality Control, Test Associate Manufacture and test ink and related fluids by following formulation sheets and test requirements. Follow work instructions to build and package inks in a timely manner. Must be able to works under immediate supervision; primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.
