Field Service Technician
SIGNING BONUS
We are offering two signing bonuses. With satisfactory work and attendance, you would be eligible to receive $500 after 30 days and $1,000 after 6 months.
SUMMARY
The Field Service Technician role in the packaging service department will include sales/applications support, applications and service-related procedure development, training customers or distributors on packaging equipment, technical phone support, field service, equipment installation and repairs on all packaging equipment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Service Support:
Conduct field service and installation work.
Provide technical phone support to customers including extended hours of support.
Parts Quotes
Record all Tech Support interactions with customers.
Submit expenses in timely/accurate manner.
PLC Knowledge
Complete Trip Reports in timely manner
Ability to work effectively and independently
Escalate service issues as required.
Troubleshooting electro-mechanical assemblies and machinery.
Access bills of material and drawings to support repair efforts.
Document work performed, time and parts used to complete duties. May access computerized returned-goods system to enter updates or obtain information.
Advise supervisor or other departments of unusual damage, repeat failures
Recommend changes to design, assembly or packaging procedures to improve product serviceability, performance or durability.
Adhere to department policies for warranty and service repairs.
Follow customer’s site requirements for personal protective equipment, behavior, etc.
Ability to travel up to 50% – 75%
Excellent Customer Service Skills
Miscellaneous:
Work safely. Maintain safe, clean, and organized work area.
Train coworkers as assigned
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:
High School Diploma
Associated Degree in Automated Systems & Robotics, Industrial Automation, Electronics, Automation
Work safely. Maintain safe, clean, and organized work area.
Technical Training
Experience with Electro-mechanical machines/equipment (3-5 years)
Experience with Field Service and Installations
Valid Class D Driver’s license
Valid Passport

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Required to be exposed to a physical environment which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes, and similar elements during most of a normal workday.
Use of skills requiring motor coordination with finger dexterity (e.g. keyboarding, machine operation, etc.) during most of a normal workday.
Required to exert physical effort in handling objects more than 30 pounds.
