Infrastructure Engineer III

Summary: Supports analysis, construction, and troubleshooting network infrastructure and business systems to ensure business processes continue functioning as expected. The goal of this team is to resolve network and business system performance issues quickly. Investigate new technologies and define improvements to increase system reliability and performance; initiate and oversee proof of concepts and make recommendations for system upgrades and expansions. Participate in the testing process through test plan development, test review and analysis, test witnessing and software certification. Interfaces with internal client groups to understand all planned projects and meet project schedule deadlines.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field or related experience
5+ years of business and applications software engineering experience
Working knowledge of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD)
Experience in the following: Servers cluster systems, Power BI, Enterprise Application Software Upgrades
2+ years of experience with database development in the MS SQL Server, T-SQL, stored procedures, schema design for OLTP and OLAP.
Experience with support analysis, construction, and troubleshooting network infrastructure and business systems to ensure business processes continue functioning as expected.
Attention to detail
Proven analytical abilities applied to system design and software implementation
Ability to keep up with new technologies/tools, and design techniques and lead adoption of those technologies with the team
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills
Ability to work well in a team environment
Applied knowledge of Agile Scrum
Preferred qualifications:

Hands-on development with Azure services
Experience in HPC computing and cluster stacks
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsible for gathering system requirements working together with product architects and owners.
Support infrastructure for the organization’s systems and products as service offering
Stay well-informed of issues and complications related to a cloud offering
Collaborate with geographically dispersed engineering teams to enable their applications to utilize Cloud infrastructure/services.
Discover standard cloud services offerings, install, and execute processes and standards for optimal use of cloud service provider offerings
Document designs to assist in training others
Train and mentor more junior engineers on the team
