Electrical Control Engineer

Electrical Engineer in Applied Development Center (ADC) for research, functional specifications, technical designs, and support for the controls hardware, software, power assemblies, power distribution, and printed circuit boards within the ADC chiller product line(s)

Qualifications:

Essential Qualifications:

BSEE from a 4-year college or university.
1+ years of power electronic experience required in power design, power distribution, VFD’s, electric and control motors (can be in a classroom setting)
Must be able to travel locally and internationally (<20% of the time)
Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional employees in the organization
Proven organizational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Ability to attend web meetings with Asia at least 1-2 times per week in the evening
Position’s job duties require on-site participation
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the HVAC industry
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Apply engineering-based skills, specialized or custom software, electrical/magnetic flux and control theory to develop magnetic bearing levitated drivetrains
Experience with development of bearing-less motors in lab environment
Design and develop electrical controls packages for chiller equipment based on project needs and process design documentation
Develop PLC I/O schematics
Develop Panel Layouts and Bill of Materials for applications
Designs electrical motors, control motors, electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, domestic and internal purposes.
Develop three-line diagrams for motor circuits
Prepare control design drawing to release globally
Evaluate and qualify electrical components based on project requirement
Design electrical testing methods, tests finished products and system capabilities
Participates in activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements.
Support operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in field and internal installations.
