Zero Zone is a manufacturer of reach-in and open refrigerated and frozen food display cases as well as the refrigeration systems that work behind the scenes to cool the cases, keeping the food fresh! We also make powerful industrial refrigeration systems for food warehousing, pharmaceuticals, and even ice rinks!
Our company is structured across 2 divisions – the Display Case Division, located in North Prairie, WI, Waukesha, WI, Pewaukee, WI and Mukwonago, WI and the Refrigeration Systems Division, located in Ramsey, MN and Dyersville, IA.

What Will You Do?
Under the direction of the Director of Engineering, this detail-oriented Quality Engineer will plan, coordinate, implement, and direct quality control programs within our operational processes. These practices are to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established quality standards in our Ramsey, MN manufacturing facility. The following are the essential duties and responsibilities you can expect to do:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain the quality management system (QMS)
Responsible for overall quality (from quote to accepted delivered systems) including controlled documents, processes and procedures, raw materials, and final product to determine quality levels and ensure compliance with quality requirements
Maintains quality control check points and develop a constant improvement program to decrease re-work and errors
Create, facilitate and implement corrective action processes by utilizing field reports, internal correspondence and process audits as well as ensuring closure and communication of results
Participates in customer visits regarding on-site quality resolution and/or quality reviews
Responsible for supplier quality management process
Reviews test data and interpret tests and analyses to establish, or rule out, material and process causes and patterns
Confers with Production Manager, Production Leadership, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, and Design Engineering teams to resolve product quality concerns
Develops, evaluates, and audits manufacturing methods and or internal business processes to maintain quality assurance standards
Develops and implements internal training processes

What Are We Looking For?

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required of you for this position:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field and/or Certified Quality Degree
Two (2) plus years of related experience in a manufacturing environment
Through understanding of Lean Manufacturing methodologies
Experience with working in a business system (ERP) and the integration of the quality management system
Fundamental understanding of ISO requirements/standards
Strong problem solving skills with a demonstrated ability to be highly analytical
High working knowledge of MS Office : Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Highly organized and detail oriented individual
Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
Self-starter, motivated, and strong willed who works independently or as a leader
ASQ CQE certification is preferred
