P&G, Box Elder, UT. Lead instrumentation engineer for paper plant expansion project. Responsible for instrumentation part of the project.
P&G, Oxnard, CA. Wrote Functional Specifications for conversion project from Foxboro to Honeywell's Experion DCS system.
P&G, Greensboro, NC. Lead instrumentation engineer for Health and Beauty plant expansion project. Responsible for instrumentation, including intrinsically safe and explosion proof instruments. Responsibilities also included project coordination.

Representative projects include:
BP Refinery, Whiting, IN. Controls Engineer. Audited VRU Units, helped to create base package, which included P&ID, Instrument specifications, Instrument location plan, Instrument list in INtools.
Rohm and Haas, Kankakee, IL. Lead Controls Designer on the process building expansion Project. Responsibilities included creating loop diagrams, panel design and producing construction documents. Supervised two people on various stages of the project.
Wyeth BioPharma, Andover, MA. Electrical Controls Engineer on the 112,000 sq. ft. ADF Expansion, Suites C&D project. Responsibilities included complete software design and implementation for PLC Phase. Was assigned to the site for commissioning and start-up as the Control Systems Engineer with responsibility for commissioning and FAT testing. Part of commissioning team in Buffer, Media and CIP Areas. Start-up and commissioning for E&F project. Supervised retest activities for Bioreactor Area; wrote PLC code for UF/DF and Virosolve skids (ControlLogix platform); commissioning Bioreactor, Harvest and Purification Areas.
Eli Lilly, Indianapolis, IN. Control Engineer responsible for writing Functional Requirements. Wrote Functional Requirements for Bioreactor and WFI distribution systems for DeltaV based control platform, using S88.
Kimberly Clark, Conway, AR. Control Engineer part of start-up team for Fiber delivery conversion project in paper industry. Responsibility included PLC programming, documentation updates.
Novartis, Holly Springs, NC. Control Engineer responsible for Database applications and P&ID Database coordination. Reviewed I&C portion of equipment packages. Prepared instrument data sheets, profibus segment architecture drawings.
Automation lead to select vendors for manufacturing and installation process modules. Responsibilities included reviewing I&C sales packages from minimum three vendors. Selecting most appropriate package and working out details with vendors. Presenting findings to the contract awarding group.
Dow Chemical, China. Instrumentation Engineer, part of the instrumentation team. Responsible for selecting instruments and writing instrument specification for plant in China. Instrumentation included instrument selection for SIS systems with SIL levels 1 and 2 based on HAZOP studies.
Conagra, Marshall, MO. Control Engineer part of start-up team for Tray and Tray project in food industry. Responsibility included commissioning software and hardware. Phase testing. Support of the CIP system and instructing technicians on system use.
Bayer, Institute, WV. Control Engineer for Methomyl Reconstruction project in chemical industry. Responsibility included writing instrument specs, preparing hardware packages including creating and checking drawings using INtools.
Amylin, West Chester, OH. Control Engineer for CIP validation activity. Responsibility included PLC and Batch software support.

Electrical Controls Engineer responsible for PLC programming, HMI screens, electrical design, instrumentation, start-up, construction and writing design basis for process and packing areas. Design and PLC programming included study and development of safety interlocks and staged shutdown of the process lines.
