Created test procedures, test hardware & software, and ran hardware verification, acceptance testing, and integration. Interfaced with hardware, software & marketing teams, subcontractors, and government agencies to negotiate requirements and formulate solutions. Worked independently to create a test station for a MIL-STD-1553 to ethernet data processing unit. This included hardware to monitor unit health, stimulate, measure and filter analog & digital I/O, and software to simulate interfacing hardware along with packet capturing and decoding. Ultimately the test suite was successfully deployed ahead of schedule. Worked in a team environment to debug and improve performance through software & hardware analysis and quick fixes with breadboard prototyping, leading to reliability, data rate, and power consumption improvements for subsequent prototypes. Jan. 2013 – Aug. 2014
Tervela Inc.Acton, MA
SUMMER INTERN: Worked with Apache Hadoop to investigate and develop distributed computing applications for high throughput real time asynchronous data processing. May 2012 – Sept. 2012

LEAD OPTICAL SENSOR SYSTEM DESIGNER: Led the design, fabrication, and testing of an infrared light tracking and navigation system for an autonomous jet propelled river robot used for water quality measurements. System consists of a turret-mounted photodetector, an omnidirectional IR beacon, along with PCBs with analog and digital circuitry. The photo-detector tracks via a feedback control loop tracking the beacon’s angular position. Jan. 2012 – May 2012
Lafayette College Excel ResearchEaston, PA
LEAD SOFTWARE ENGINEER: Led development of a tablet-based app on both the iOS and Android platforms for the geology department with an interdisciplinary team of student researchers. Led group meetings to implement and edit design ideas. Developed prototypes and iterated to release versions for software deployment and maintenance. Final product is currently on Apple’s App Store and in use by Lafayette College’s Geology department and its collaborators. May 2011 – Dec. 2011
ECE 491, Wi-Fi Communications Board Design Project, Lafayette CollegeEaston, PA
TEAM LEADER: Led design of a FPGA based Wi-Fi like wireless communications board that interfaces with a PC via RS-232. Developed firmware in Verilog to coordinate sending, receiving, and error correction based on IEEE 802.3 Ethernet standard, created self-checking test benches for simulation, and hardware verification on the Xilinx Spartan-3E FPGA. Fall 2011
ECE 323, Controller Free Video Game Design Project, Lafayette CollegeEaston, PA
DISPLAY CIRCUIT DESIGNER: Designed a camera based version of “Pong”, where a hybrid, digital and analog circuit, projects a square onto a monitor that a user can interact with via a camera.
