Maintenance Technician – Electrical
11/2010 – 2012 Abengoa Bio-energy of Indiana Mt. Vernon, IN
Performed maintenance plant wide on conveyors, drag chains, elevators, truck and rail load-out, grain receiving, etc. Responsible for all plant utilities including boilers, chillers, sand filters, RO units, and distillation columns. Continually modified DCS system and drawings/logic to operations request for desired output and sustainability. Responsible for all AC/DC motor/drive configurations (Siemens and ABB), panel-views, pressure transmitters and level indicators. Promoted to this position after 6 months of working in all operator positions.
Maintenance Technician – CD Replication and Calibration
9/2001 – 7/2010 Sony DADC Terre Haute, IN
Performed maintenance on injection molding machines, sputtering units, UV lacquer dispersing units to replicate CD’s and DVD’s. Automation made all disc transitions completely hands free through PLC’s, pneumatics and hydraulics. Adjusted for desired yield, cycle time and output. Also solely completed calibration tasks for 2 years with Block Error Rate and Hybrid Optic Reference Checkers. Later specialized in IDU and Bit-jet units to achieve copyright protection and individual disc identification. Handled ISO audits for this department as well. The last 2 years of employment was promoted to Supervisor over Special Packaging and Assembly leading 30 full-time employees and 200-300 temporary day labor employees for pace-line assembly of unique disc sets and performing employee appraisals, time and attendance, cross training and disciplinary procedures. Led random audits of employee adhesion to implemented work instructions. Followed customer driven schedules to ensure production was complete and on-time delivery was achieved.
