My position was the intermediary between Engineering and Research and
Development. I spent 50% of my time in Research and Development,
hands on, helping build prototypes. I took the concepts from Research
and Development and worked with other Engineers to draw up parts and
translate what was built to drawings for production to manufacture in
large quantities.

My objective is to work with sales to help achieve the look the customer is wanting
for their signage. After design development my job is to perform stress
calculations to determine the internal structure. Draft blueprints for the shop to

Mainly worked with sales department with the development of large remodel
projects for customers such as KFC and Taco Bell.

Design Engineer/Quality Control
Cummings Signs is a producer of electronic signs. I was only Engineer
on site. Objective is to take an idea conceived by our art department and
the customer. Perform stress calculations at a designated wind load to
determine the interior structure required. Design tooling needed to
construct product. Draft the blueprints needed for the shop to
manufacture the product. Work with the shop floor to ensure the product
is manufactured according to specifications. Enforce all Quality Control
procedures to ensure Lean Manufacturing and enforce all UL codes.
Work with Customer Service on Warranty Claims and any problems that
occur in the field with the installation of our products. Work with sheet
metal layouts and the forming of plastics.

Designer CAD/CAM
Astralloy is a specialty steel company with a focus on abrasive resistant
steels and bullet resistant products. Objective was designing and drafting
formed components to fit existing machines as well as the programming for
the CNC plasma cutter and the CNC acetylene torch. Backup for the IT
Manager.

Everbrite Inc. is a producer of electronic signs. Objective was to work

Experienced with such programs as AutoCAD (22 years), Autodesk
Inventor (3 years), SolidWorks (12 years), Windows 7, Microsoft Excel,

working with CNC equipment including routers, plasma cutters, torch
cutters and break presses. Trained in Lean Manufacturing and some
experience with Six Sigma.
