Corey Muellenbach
Design Engineer at The Toro Company
Summary
I am a hard working, detail oriented Mechanical Engineer, who recently completed my bachelor’s degree from
the Swenson College of Science and Engineering at the University of Minnesota Duluth. I also completed
the requirements for a Mathematics Minor along the way. Through the process of obtaining my degree, I
was given the opportunity to participate on multiple projects that have helped me hone in my engineering
and management skills. I value the experience I gained from working two internships, while spending my
time at UMD. I was given the opportunity to see multiple large projects evolve from the design phase all the
way through production and manufacturing. Throughout these projects I gained experience in preliminary
design (inquiries), final production design and manufacturing processes. I look forward to applying what I have
learned, as well as gaining experience, knowing that I truely love what I do.

Organized and controlled key timelines utilizing Gantt charts and critical paths for major projects to track
progress and monitor areas of slip and inefficiency. Conducted a series of military standard performance
tests on any pump that was to be shipped from the facility, to insure all performance requirements were met.
Analyzed and re-formatted M.T. Davidson’s current Performance Testing procedures in regards to various
military standards, thus expediting the time to completion. Utilized my abilities with 3-D modeling and
creating professional engineering drawings, to effectively produce drawing packages, for production.

Performed the necessary calculations to properly design components that were later included on multiple
large projects. Communicated with Product Vendors addressing the requirements of what was to be
ordered, along with negotiating purchase pricing. Coordinated directly with SLM Sales, for all inquiries and
customer interaction regarding the M-2000 Series Capstan Line. Assisted in the design and development of
SLM’s newly established standard line of winches and capstans. Utilized my abilities with 3-D modeling
