During Mr. Moyer’s tenure at Burns & McDonnell Engineering, he completed
numerous assignments over a broad array of opportunities within the Power Division. In
addition, Mr. Moyer also completed assignments within the Process Division when
necessary. Mr. Moyer’s experience includes, but is not limited to:
• Completed specifications, procurement, design, installation and commission of
Distributed Control Systems including Emerson Ovation, Foxboro IA, Bailey
Infi90, ABB and Honeywell.
• Completed specifications, procurement, design, installation and commission of
Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems including Teledyne Monitor Labs,
Cisco, Rosemount, Horiba and many others.
• Completed Lead I&C Engineer assignments for many assignments within the
Power Division. Responsibilities as a Lead Engineer included meeting
deadlines both internally and externally, completing the design correctly ontime,
right the first time, and on budget. Mr. Moyer has successfully managed
up to seven other engineers simultaneously while assigned to multiple projects.
• Completed Lead I&C Engineer assignments for Air Quality Control Systems
projects required for existing coal-fired power plants. The equipment included
Flue Gas Desulfurization systems (wet and dry), limestone unloading and
preparation, Selective Catalytic Reduction systems, fly ash unloading and
handling, fabric filter baghouses and all associated local/remote controls.
Among the assignments Mr. Moyer completed, one of the controls upgrade
projects was elected Power Plant Upgrade of the Year by Power Engineering
• Magazine. Served as QA/QC Manager on a number of I&C projects
Nevada Energy Center NOx Monitor Replacement Project
January 2011 – August 2012
• Project Manager and Lead I&C Engineer. • Produced electrical schematics, raceway schedule and all associated
installation documentation to successfully replace existing NOx monitoring
systems.
• Completed Contract closeout.
Waste Energy Recovery Facility FEED Study, Air Products & Chemicals,
Inc.
February 2010 – December 2010
• Lead I&C Engineer.
• Directed engineers in both the power division and process division.
• Represented clients at all capital equipment bid meetings including Order
Definition Meetings and Controls Finalization Meetings at GE.
• Produced budgetary estimates for all Balance Of Plant instrumentation, DCS,
CEMS and specialty analyzers required for the project.
Boswell Energy Center Air Pollution Control Retrofit Project, Minnesota

• Lead I&C Engineer.
• Directed up to seven engineers and technicians for specific design
requirements.
• Developed and updated existing boiler controls analog and digital logic such
that the addition of the Air Quality Controls equipment did not violate ASME
B31.1 Boiler code.
• Integrated new control system into existing DCS architecture.
• Produced fiber and telecommunications architecture diagrams including all
patch panels, termination cabinets and communications protocol.
• Served as Contract Engineer for new Foxboro DCS required for all back-end
controls.
• Provided on-site support during startup and commissioning.
Colstrip Controls Upgrade Power Project, PPL Montana
Colstrip, MT, October 2004 – January 2006
• Lead Instrumentation Engineer.
• Designed replacement feedwater heater level instrumentation including hardpipe
bridal replacement with all new transmitters, switches and other required
• equipment. Designed replacement Main Steam Drum level instrumentation in accordance
with existing boiler code.
• Updated existing boiler control logics to include new instrumentation and
combustion control schemes.
• Developed instrument installation documents including all installation details,
updated P&IDs, updated instrument location plans and updated Plant
Instrument List.
Palomar Combined Cycle Power Project, SEMPRA
Escondido, CA, June 2004 – December 2005
• Lead I&C Engineer.
• Assisted client with development of Engineer-Procure-Construct Contract
Request For Proposal documentation for new combined cycle power plant.
• Produced all Balance Of Plant logics for a new Emerson Ovation DCS.
• Served as Owner’s Engineer at all kickoff meetings, progress meetings,
Factory Acceptance Tests and interaction with the Construction Contractor.
• Provided on-site checkout, startup and commissioning support during
construction. On-site support from June 2005 – December 2005.

Other Experience:
Mr. Moyer has also been involved in a number of studies and Front End Engineering
Design (FEED) work in concert with the Marketing department to secure additional
work for the Power Division. This work has included making site visits to walk down
the unit(s), develop the scope of work, meet with prospective client(s) to discuss their
specific needs, and assist the client with bid evaluations and Contract negotiations.
Lastly, Mr. Moyer served as an Instrumentation Technician at an Archer, Daniels,
Midland (ADM) citrus processing plant in Southport, NC as well as an Instrumentation
Technician at a Combined Cycle power plant in Castle Hayne, NC, prior to receiving
his BSEE.
