OBJECTIVES
Seeking a position as a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analyst or modelling engineer in a company where my technical expertise and interpersonal skills can be of mutual benefit.

CAREER HILIGHTS
❖ Extensive hands-on experience in numerical simulation and coding of steady/unsteady fluid flow, high-speed aerodynamics, multi-phase flows, thermodynamics, and heat transfer.
❖ Over 10 years of high-end code and software development in fluid flow solver development and CFD modeling with applications in the field of mechanical engineering using finite difference, finite volume, and spectral methods.
❖ Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
❖ Excellent performance in high-stress environment.
❖ Eligible to work in the United States as a Canadian citizen.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
❖ Research Assistant (CFD Analyst) | McGill University, Montreal, QC (2008-2014)
o Developed a CFD code using an innovative hybrid explicit-implicit second order Total Variation Diminishing (TVD) scheme for simulation of unsteady flows with shock waves.
o Proposed a new hybridization approach to achieve second-order accuracy in space and time for the implicit and explicit modes of the solver.
o Proposed a novel time limiter to satisfy the TVD property of the scheme.
o Applied adaptive mesh refinement for the simulation of shock wave propagation on unstructured grids, applicable to unsteady/transient fluid flow simulation.
o Developed a new approach to discretize the viscous terms to achieve second-order accuracy in space and time.

❖ Teaching Assistant | McGill University, Montreal, QC (2010-2011)
o Course: Thermodynamics II

❖ Research Assistant (CFD Analyst) | University of Tehran, Tehran, Iran (2005-2007)
o Developed a CFD code for simulation of two-dimensional incompressible fluid flow using spectral embedded boundary method.
o Implemented a domain decomposition method on Cartesian grid to speed up the spectral solver.

❖ Engineering Trainee |Tablieh Construction Company (2003-2005)
o Effectively collaborated as a junior engineer with a team of highly skilled professionals in building one of the largest water dams in Iran.
o Worked under time-constrain to meet all project deadlines.
o Modelled the hydrostatic forces applicable in simplified water dam.
o Designed and selected the appropriate hydraulic turbine size to maximize the generation of power.

EDUCATION
o Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering, McGill University, Montreal, QC (2008-2014)
o Masters of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering, University of Tehran, Iran (2005- 2007)
o Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering, Azad University, Iran (2000-2005)

HONORS AND AWARDS
o Provost’s Graduate Fellowship, McGill University, Montreal, QC (2008-2011)
o Trottier’s Graduate Fellowship, McGill University, Montreal, QC (2008-2011)

SOFTWARE, LANGUAGES, AND RELEVANT SKILLS
o Extensive experience in FORTRAN, C++(Object Oriented Programming), Tecplot, Inkscape, LATEX, Shell scripting and MS Office Suite
o Advanced knowledge of ANSYS Fluent, ANSYS CFX, Parallel processing (MPI), and Mathematica
