Position: Process control tech.
Objective: Maximize the production & quality of the product in the refinery.
Duties: solving issues with digital, analog and analytical devices that interface with PLC and Provox such as level, temperature, flow, PH & conductivity. Basic Electrical trouble shooting with motors, heaters, soft starts, and VFDs.
PMs: PH & Conductivity route to ensure quality product and environmental regulations, Filter checks which consisted of digital and analog valves (PMVs, actuators and limit switches) checking for obvious issues such as air leaks, exposed wire and check calibration on the I/P & flow tube.
Instruments: 475 Hart Communicator, Alteck, Megger, amp clamp & multi-meter (Fluke), Mettler Toledo Ph and conductivity tester. Krohne Calibration and flow simulator.
Computer programs: SAP for ordering parts, PI to trend different devices for trouble shouting, Asset center to access PLC programs.
Safety: Comply with OSHA & Plant safety regulations, such as, fall protection, job hazard analysis, lockout tag out, flash protection and other appropriate PPE.
