This position requires daily operation of a correction facility. Responsible for making up budgets, project management, designing preventive maintenance programs (CMMS), safety training, re-engineering of security equipment, management decision-making and general maintenance on a 160-acre facility. Maintenance manager has direct supervision of 7 maintenance supervisors. These supervisors oversee a work force of 100 workers. Building automation HVAC units and climate control centers. Food service, laundry and medical equipment also maintained. Telecommunication, PBX and computer network with fiber optics. Manager oversees all trades. Currently this is facility has over 500,000 sq ft. As a maintenance manager I have worked as a project engineer on many projects: Renovation of restrictive housing unit a $120,000 project. One large sewage lift station with construction of bar screener unit $175,000. Protective custody addition with recreational area $45,000. Many capital improvements for equipment, building repair/renovations, and new construction. All projects were on time and were under project budgets.
