Responsibilities
I provided technical support on maintaing control systems that ensured safety and process stability thorough various petrochemical applications. I took ownership of generating proof test procedures and modifying electrical communication drawings to validate existing in control loops that safety/environmentally driven.
Accomplishments
-Various flare stacks within the Galveston Bay Refinery were commissioned with a new control philosophy that was coordinated by myself.
-I purchased and requisitioned safety certified PLC hardware (Triconex) that maintained integrity for inputs and outputs at the Ineos Chocolate Bayou Refinery. This task involed purchasing electrical hardware to the client’s discretion and validating the vendor’s specifications on the hardware.
-A complex control loop was designed and commissioned to address low oxygen in various heaters throughout Galveston Bay Refinery. This involved generating complex loop documentation to layout details and proof test procedures to validate the new loop and the already existing loops that were tied in.
