WORK HISTORY
HONEYWELL-St. Louis, MO. Technical Specialist III (DCS engineer) 8/2005 – 9/2015
* 2008 -2013 Site lead at Phillips 66 in Wood River, Il. 2008 – 2013 for many re-instrumentation
and new installed projects in the following units; Cracking, Distilling, Aromatics, Alky,
Environmental and Utilities. Responsible for configuration of new and existing control strategies
on the Honeywell (DCS) Experion PKS platform utilizing C300,SCADA and Peer to Peer controllers on
both R300 and R400 releases. I reported to site every day for 5 years and was involved in all
aspects of a 3 Billion dollar project execution lifecycle. My site duties included detail design
documentation to configuration, simulation, loop check and start-up support. Providing quotes and
managing a group of engineers under my direction.

* 2014 – Assisted in On Process Migrations (R3xx-R4xx) at Westlake Chemicals and Flint Hills
Resources.

* 2006 -2008 Prudhoe Bay, Alaska- Responsible for maintaining and implementing new control
strategies for British Petroleum on the North Slope of Alaska. Control platforms at Endicott
Island and Badami oil fields were comprised of; Emerson Delta V operate for Provox, Provox and
Honeywell Experion (DCS) R210 and HC900, Allen Bradley and Rockwell Automation family of PLC’s.

* 2006 Oak Ridge, TN. – Programmed Air Handling Controls on a SLC5/05 and PanelView 600. Objective
was to provide handshaking between two OEM controllers communicating over Ethernet and Modbus to
coordinate the cycling of Air Compressors and their associated Air Dryer.

* 2005-2006 State of Pennsylvania – Replaced obsolete controllers for a steam plant with an HC900
controller and Honeywell operator interface. The new configuration consisted of a Plant Master
Pressure controller providing a firing rate demand signal to each of the three Natural Gas/#2
Fuel Oil Boiler Master Controllers. The control strategy maintained combined steam header
pressure and minimized emissions. Provided similar controls for another steam plant with coal
fired boilers. Each system allowed plant personnel to monitor process conditions and alarms as
they became active as well as Data Acquisition to obtain desired data for storage, display and
trending. The systems also provided report generating capabilities.
