Nature of Work:

• Develop design techniques and design templates for Lifting and Mechanical Handling Systems, including heat transfer calculations, swing drive calculations, mechanical and structural rigging parts calculations
• Compile design reports consisting of method statements, implementation procedures, Mathcad and hand calculations and planning charts for internal project review, client and/or third party review
• Develop Crane Capacity Load Charts to latest revision of API 2C specification for Offshore Pedestal
Mounted Cranes, including identification of key Mechanical, Structural, and Hydraulic Components
• Carry out the Crane and Lifting Equipment Site Surveys for both offshore and onshore, prepare detailed survey reports
• Coordinate with Drafting for timely delivery of Crane and Lifting Systems General Arrangement, Detailed Fabrication drawings, Procedural and System (Hydraulic, Electrical and Pneumatic)

• Ensure Project elements are checked and reviewed according to QA procedures, including insuring component fit-up checks are completed on Structural components
• Perform sizing of mechanical/hydraulic components including bearings, winches, swing drives, pumps, motors and cylinders as required by customer requirements
• Manage the progress and reporting of project design elements, i.e., planning and scheduling of procedures, calculations and drawings to meet project milestones, including managing all engineering activities required for a Customer’s crane, or a new crane design
