JOB HISTORY/DUTIES
Lead Set-up/ Operator
Reliable Bronze Mfg.
Rush point,MN
Start Date: 04/28/11 End Date: Current
I have had a number of responsibilities with this employer from April 2011 I was an operator I operated
Swiss machines, I started to preform setups in September of that year. I was responsible for setting up a
cell of three machines. I was the lead setup for those machines until October 2013. Then I was promoted,
Now I currently setup a cell of eight Mori Seki 253 4 axis CNC lathes. The Mori Sekis are more
challenging and I have had much more experience in organizing production and fool proofing jobs so that
operators punch in the numbers for the program and press go. I do get some assistance from my foremen
with a few aspects of my job. I am also responsible for the basic operating necessities such as
maintaining fluid levels in machines, keeping tools sharp, sharpening tools, making offsets, editing
programs, selecting tools needed to set-up and run jobs, setting-up programs ranging in difficulty from
easy to moderately difficult, checking finishes, chamfering parts, and packaging parts once completed. I
regularly work on parts that have tight tolerances such as -.0003. I work on jobs weekly that I have to told
+/-.0005. I have also had a lot of experience in assisting other operators to fix problems with parts or
programs in order to keep production moving forward. In addition I regularly assigned operators to
machines when I setup Swiss machines to ensure that the people with the highest level of experience are
working on the more difficult parts. I work with the maintenance department to trouble shoot machine
failures in order to fix the machines as fast as possible. I am also responsible for filling out maintenance
requests in detail to assist the mechanic in finding and fixing the problems. I have also preformed some
basic maintenance myself such as removing the chip conveyor and cleaning the machines.
