Implementation and startup of a Fisher Provox Distributed Control System. Provided guidance for design, changes and planning. RESULT: Successful installation with $1.2 million increase in production.

Upgraded over 40 control loops on Paper Machine from old dual loop stand-alone controllers to new DeltaV Distributed Control System. RESULT: Reduced downtime and maintenance requirements.

Achieved 25-year record-low unscheduled electrical downtime. Chaired root cause failure analysis sessions, strengthened technician sense of urgency when equipment was down. RESULT: Saved $150K.

Oversaw mill bearing lubrication equipment low flow solution. Investigated and analyzed symptoms, and facilitated equipment overhaul. RESULT: Improved runtime of mills and increased production by $300K.

Conducted research for a new level monitoring system. Designed, built, installed and set up 40 systems on copper recovery flotation cells. RESULT: Increased production by $2 million.

Administered safety program to work group. Trained and coached technicians, evaluated and recorded progress. RESULT: Greatly reduced safety incidents, served as model format.

Restored accuracy in field instrumentation. Analyzed and solved issues, repaired/calibrated and eliminated errors. RESULT: Strengthened confidence in control system, increased production $60,000.

Resolved issue of missing radiation source. Investigated records, interviewed past Radiation Safety Officers and corresponded with government authorities. RESULT: Saved thousands in fines; more important, prevented black mark on company license.
