The Lake Charles Chemicals Project (LCCP) is a major expansion of the existing Lake Charles Chemicals Complex (LCCC) owned and operated by Sasol North America, Inc. The LCCP process units will be highly integrated with each other and with the existing LCCC process units.
The center piece of the LCCP will be a new Ethane Cracker unit to convert purchased ethane to ethylene. It will be a world scale unit with over three times the capacity of the existing LCCC Cracker.
Other utility and offsite facilities that are needed for LCCP but will be shared with GTL are grouped under the Lake Charles Facilities (LCF) Project. This scope includes raw water supply and treatment, firewater supply, demin water supply, condensate collection and treatment, waste water treatment, and pipelines and chemical dock facilities for marine loading and unloading.
The LCCP/LCF scope also includes considerable infrastructure within the site such as interconnecting piping and pipe racks, undergrounds, roads, rail tracks, civil work, buildings and control rooms, distributed control systems and telecommunications. Infrastructure improvements outside the fence are also required to support construction.

Program Management Consultancy (PMC) of the Shah Arab Gas Field Development specifically the Main Plant Process Units (EPC2), Main Plant Sulfur Recovery & Tail Gas Units (EPC3) and Main Plant Utilities & Offsites (EPC4). A new large scale green field gas processing plant (worth $10Billion) located southeast of the Shah Arab field. The sourness of feed gas (23% mole-H2S) along with the magnitude of process and produced sulphur will set a new bench mark to the world gas processing and treating industry. The Shah gas complex will safely and efficiently process 1,000 MMscfd gas with by-product expected to be; sales gas 580 MMscfd, condensate 38-50 Mbpd, NGL 28 Mbpd and liquid sulphur 9.2 Mtpd. Due to the sourness of this gas, HSE and SIL are critical components of this project.
Manage EPC Contractors to ensure compliance to the Articles of Agreement set forth by the Company. Advise COMPANY of any non-compliance, discrepancies, anomalies & conflicts. CONSULTANT shall promptly bring such issues to COMPANY’s attention and report in advance along with the corrective solutions.
Oversee EPC Contractors engineering, design & procurement services; peer review and approved documents in compliance with FEED & project contractual requirements. These documents will include the final detail design of P&IDs, HAZOP/SIL studies, project standards & specifications, analyser block diagrams, material requisition, data sheets, calculation, TBEs, indices, MCR/IES layout, cabinet arrangement, loop & wiring diagrams, estimates, manuals, reports, procedures and vendor document review.
Oversee EPCs / Main Automation Contractor (MAC) scope of responsibility to supply and deliver Honeywell Experion (PKS) fully Integrated Control System (ICS), DCS, ESD, BMS, HIPPS, FGS, FAS, HMI, MMS, CCS and third party interface to include detail design, engineering, fabrication, procurement, configuration, programming, integration, FAT & SIT/SAT and documentation.
Endorse / resolve EPCs technical queries through request for information (RFI), design deviation concession (DCA) by the EPC Contractor. Write Technical Position Paper (TPP) stating the Company position to be taken in response to variation submitted by EPC with respect to validity, impact on cost and schedule.
Member of HAZOP study team which followed structured, systematic procedure to identify potential hazard and influence the SIL requirements and operability of the system.
