Senior Project
Redesigned a bi-saddle bicycle seat with the main objective of simplifying the manufacturing process,
reducing overall cost, improving stability and refining usability through the process below:
• Developed the bicycle seat into a 3D model using the Solidworks CAD software.
• Redesigned the base of the seat and the padding with constraints from the customer.
• Conducted market research on various options for manufacturing the base and seat pad.
• Developed a pair-wise comparison that led to the final configuration of options.
• Reduced overall cost of the bicycle seat from $220 to $80.

Packaging & Supply Chain Engineer

• Collaborating with the materials group to identify critical parts and suppliers for improvement.
• Developing packaging specifications for parts to be placed into returnable containers.
• Onboarding suppliers to the returnable containers program.
• Developing work instructions and communicating with the operations group to ensure the
proper use and flow of returnable containers throughout the plant.
• Achieved a net savings of $1.8 million in 1.5 years from a combination of packaging cost
reductions and logistics improvements.
