I am interested in a career position in reliability based maintenance. I came across your ad for a vibration analyst and would be interested in talking to you further about this position.

I have been doing reliability based maintenance with Holcim Cement in Bloomsdale Missouri for going on six years now. I have a lot of experience and training in the O&M of large industrial facilities and the equipment that they operate. I have experience working with the different trades, engineers, contractors and sub-contractors and in project management of facility capitol projects. I am ISO Level 3 certified in Vibration. I am APRI Level Two certified as a Lubrication Technician and also Level 2 certified as a Lubrication Analyst. I am certified Level 2 in Infra-Red Thermography by the Snell group.
I am experienced with configuring equipment and developing routes and databases using the CSI 2130 software. I am experienced in the installation of on-line networks and sensors. I am very capable with data collection and analysis of vibration faults. I am experienced with using peak-vue, spectrum analysis, cross-phase analysis and waveform auto-correlation.
I also perform corrective maintenance during plant shutdowns. I replace bearings, drive belts and sheaves when needed and perform laser alignments on directly coupled and belt driven equipment. I balance fans using vector summation graphs and the 2130 by either mechanically attaching weights or by welding pieces of steel plate to the rotor. I perform other welding tasks and maintenance duties when needed.

I have summarized my work history and training experience in my resume which accompanies this cover letter for a total of two pages. I look forward to speaking to you about a position within your organization. I hope to become a big addition to your team.

Sincerely,

Roger D. Stephens
