Surveyor for DNVGL – Perform witness/surveys for the Maritime division. Prepare reports, certify products to DNV and applicable codes. Review manufacturer based documents, perform in process inspections of products being manufactured, witness weld start-up’s, verify NDE, calibrations and welder qualifications. Perform Data Book reviews. Witness FAT on ACC, DCB Accumulator packages, MUX Pods, Mud Pumps, LMRP components, IWOC reels, ROV panels, Sea Bells, Ram Winches, RO water treatment units, flex joints and Wellhead Connectors. Also, use tapes, ID/OD micrometers and all hand tools associated with dimensional controls. Interact with clients, vendors and shop foremen to facilitate smooth flow of projects. Evaluate & purchase shop inspection equipment, write reports, schedule & coordinate jobs, maintain calibrated equipment. Write and review Non-Conformance reports with welding engineer to determine corrective action, address quality issues within department and upper management. Quality Control Inspector – Performed in process welding compliance checks, witnessed high pressure heavy wall bending of 3”-4” piping, scheduled liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, ultrasonic and radiographic inspections. Perform daily safety inspections for the entire fabrication shop, reporting directly to the DQC. Perform welder qualification testing, interact with clients, and provide technical support to superiors. Performed vendor surveillance for outsourced fabrication and inspection of paint coatings. Review welder PQR’s, verified fit up of fabricated items IAW spec’s ASME codes, blueprints, and reviewed WPS’s. Witnessed all hydrostatic and pneumatic testing. Monitor X-Ray operations, interpret film (read Film) and provided a report.

Overseas work in Visahapatnam, India performing automated UT inspections on Indian Navy ship hulls using the Force PSP-4 scanner.
