introduce biomaterials at both the topical and endoscopic levels.
• I recently rolled out a new catheter introducer from concept to the shelf in 3 months by effective

Established and led the project management effort including mentoring and training cross functional
teams (engineering, marketing, regulatory and quality).

• Led a cross functional team in developing the company’s first disposable medical device from
concept to commercialization in less than eleven months, including managing all sterilization and
packaging validations/verifications using internal and contracted organizations.
• Established the initial project management system along with integration into Agile with complete
design control audited to 13485:2003
• Led implementation of new risk management systems, and led several effective risk assessment
teams for new medical devices.

• Successfully collaborated with physicians for development of new surgical devices in the US and
• Developed orthopedic surgical platforms in collaboration with several key surgeon opinion
• Developed a MRI compatible retractor system for oncology surgery.
• Incorporated many performance and ergonomic enhancements to existing product lines.
• Developed surgical retractors, radiolucent positioning tables and minimally invasive exposure
devices with OEM partners.

The company’s strategic initiative demanded a robust new product portfolio for solid corporate growth.
In this role I was responsible for designing many polymer and metallic surgical devices. Having thorough
materials knowledge allowed me to meet device requirements.

• Investigated and incorporated new materials into existing products for increased manufacturing
efficiencies and performance enhancements.

• Lead research designer for experimental vascular devices that required unique delivery systems.
