I am close to finishing my last semester of school at Anoka Technical College studying Mechanical Drafting and looking for a job in my field. I’m excited to finally start doing something I think I will really love and excel at.

EXPERIENCE
2016 – PRESENT
DOCKWORKER, UPS FREIGHT
I am currently an outbound freight loader at UPS Freight. I load as well as oversee others loading 200,000 – 300,000 pounds of freight securely into trailers every night using propane powered forklifts. I enjoy this job because of the problem-solving aspect of it. However, with my college graduation coming up I plan to get a different job in my field of study as soon as I can.

EDUCATION
2016
GRADUATED, BLAINE HIGH SCHOOL
I always exceeded in school, especially in math and engineering classes. In high school I took college classes in math, as well as through the STEP program for engineering and CAD design. As a freshman I was even asked to tutor juniors and seniors in math because of my ability to communicate my understanding to them.

2016 – 2018
MECHANICAL DRAFTING AAS, ANOKA TECHNICAL COLLEGE
I am planning on finishing up my degree in mechanical drafting at Anoka Tech this spring. In my time here, I feel I have really honed my skills in drafting and CAD software overall. I have learned to manage my time on projects and I have learned efficient techniques to make both 3D models and detail drawings in a variety of CAD softwares.

SKILLS
• Knowledge in many CAD softwares especially Solidworks, Pro E/Creo, AutoCAD, and Inventor.

• I scored a perfect 240 out of 240 on my Certified Solidworks Associate Exam.

• I scored a 28 on my ACT test.

• I have always been good at working either with others or alone to find solutions to problems.

ACTIVITIES
I have always loved designing and building things to make solutions to problems I see. As long like I feel like I am accomplishing something and making progress on the project I am working on, it doesn’t feel like work to me.
